“I’d rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.” Funny and touching, six women in a small and close-knit Louisiana town meet regularly in Truvy’s beauty salon where their animated conversations reveal their hopes, joys, and disappointments. Southern belles with strong, colourful personalities, each has a unique spirit, but underneath all the talk, are deep bonds of friendship that see the women through life, love, and loss. At times raucously funny, at times profoundly moving, this play will leave no one indifferent.
