John Ward

John was born, having no alternative, in Dublin.

He began his theatrical career in TAT company in the Hague where he studied Meisner and Stanislavski techniques and was cast as Baldrick in TATs long running production of Blackadder Goes Forth.

John moved to Geneva at the end of 2017 and was delighted and mildly astonished to be cast as Delacy in the GEDS production of Frankenstein.

Since then he has performed as the scheming manservant Azolan in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, a gender confused psychologist in Christopher Durangs ‘Dentity crisis , Issac, a New York art curator in Ayad Akhtar’s Disgraced and most recently the always at the point of exploding Egeus in a Midsummer Night’s dream.

He has also directed the playreading “Frost Nixon” by Peter Morgan.

John will be directing the GEDS production of Waiting for Godot.

In his other life, John is an IT consultant. He has been known to play music and do other arty stuff.
