PLAY
Tennessee Williams ranks among the giants of American Theatre. The Night of the Iguana was the last of his major artistic, critical, and box office successes. First performed in 1961 on Broadway, it won Williams his fourth New York Drama Critics Award.
A widely diverse tour group, led by their ageing and disillusioned guide, arrive at a hotel in the Mexican jungle where the wildness of the setting matches the passions of the characters as they struggle to make sense of their lives.
This play is presented by special arrangement with The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, USA.
